The summertime heat is here, yet Aoífe’s Ices is still the coolest place in town! Another Open Mic session will be held on Friday, July 6th, 2007 at 7:00 pm., at the Flat Iron Building. Due to the popularity of this event, Open Mic will be held regularly every other Friday night…watch this space!

We’ve had jazz singing, rock and roll, rap performance with live beat box, poetry recitations, reading from draft science fiction manuscript, original and cover versions of songs. Local established talent has been represented at each show and more is promised.

On Friday, July 6th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m., local musicians, poets and performers will have an opportunity to entertain an appreciative audience at the ice cream shoppe.

There is a wealth of talent in this community - so sing a tune of your choice, recite a poem or bring an instrument to play. Atmosphere of encouragement and support exists for the novice and the accomplished performer, so come on by!

The event is open to the public and will start at 7 p.m. located at 212 Hamilton Street on the lower level of the Flat Iron Building.
